Right of Withdrawal

Every tile 3Display makes is produced to your own design, so under EU and Belgian consumer law it does not qualify for the 14-day right of withdrawal below. When you place an order, you are asking us to start production immediately, and you accept that you will not be able to cancel once production has begun. This is explained again, and you confirm it explicitly, at checkout.

Why custom tiles are excluded

Directive 2011/83/EU on consumer rights, Article 16(c) (implemented in Belgium as the Code de droit économique, Book VI, Article VI.53, 3°) excludes "the supply of goods made to the consumer's specifications or clearly personalised" from the standard 14-day withdrawal right. A 3Display tile is built around your own uploaded route, chosen colours, title, and layout — it cannot be resold to anyone else once made, which is exactly the situation this exception exists for. The Court of Justice of the EU has confirmed (case C-529/19, Möbel Kraft) that a seller may rely on this exception from the moment of ordering, not only once production has actually started.

What this means in practice

• Once your payment is confirmed, we begin producing your tile and you cannot cancel the order or return the finished product because you changed your mind.
• This does not affect your separate legal guarantee of conformity: if your tile arrives damaged, defective, or not matching what you ordered, that is covered under our Terms & Conditions of Sale, not this withdrawal policy.
• If, exceptionally, you place an order for something that is not personalised (this doesn't currently happen in our shop, but if it ever does), the standard 14-day right below applies to that order instead.

The standard 14-day right (for any non-personalised order)

Where it applies, you have 14 calendar days from the day you (or someone you name) receives the goods to withdraw from the contract without giving any reason. To exercise this right, tell us clearly using the contact details below, or by using the model form below. We will reimburse all payments received, including standard delivery costs, without undue delay and within 14 days of being informed of your decision, using the same payment method you used unless you agree otherwise. You are responsible for the direct cost of returning the goods, and we may withhold reimbursement until we have received the goods back or you have supplied evidence of having sent them back, whichever is earlier.
